This report covers four years, from April 2022 to March 2026. Our report for 2022-23 was drafted but never finished, and the years that followed were among the busiest in our history. We are sorry for the long silence.
We have chosen to tell these years together because they were one journey. In these four years FAT handed itself over, from an organisation led by its founder to one led by the young women it was built for. Read one year at a time, some of these years would look like setbacks. Read together, they show how we learnt what it really takes.
For each year, we tell the story of the Collectivisation Initiative, of the collective action that young women and our team took in their communities, and of the changes inside FAT that made the transition possible. A fuller account of our activities follows the story, in the second part of this report.
